    • In Uttar Pradesh, children from economically weaker sections and disadvantaged groups are now getting the opportunity to study in private schools for free. Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the online application process for free admission in nearly 68,000 private schools across the state began on 2 February 2026.
    • As per RTE guidelines, every private school must reserve 25% of its seats for children from poor and disadvantaged backgrounds. Admissions to these seats are completely free, ensuring that children can access quality education without any financial burden on their parents.
