JTET 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026 is simple and qualifying in nature:
1. Written Examination
- Candidates have to appear for Paper I (Class 1–5) and/or Paper II (Class 6–8)
- The exam consists of 150 MCQ questions (150 marks)
- No negative marking
2. Qualifying Marks
- Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks set by the authorities
- Generally:
- General Category: 60% Marks
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC): Relaxation as per rules
3. Eligibility Certificate
- Candidates who qualify the exam will receive a JTET Eligibility Certificate
- This certificate makes candidates eligible to apply for teaching jobs in Jharkhand
4. Final Recruitment (Separate Process)
- JTET does not provide direct job selection
