HSSC Stenographer Exam Pattern – Selection Process

The selection for Stenographer posts under HSSC consists of two main stages:

  1. Stenography Skill Test (Qualifying)

1) Stage-I: Stenography Skill Test (Qualifying)

  • Purpose: To assess shorthand and typing skills as per the post requirements.

  • Components:

    • Shorthand dictation (Hindi / English) based on required speed

    • Transcription test

    • Typing & computer test (using Kruti Dev 10 for Hindi and Arial for English)

  • Nature: Qualifying only (marks not counted in merit)

  • Requirement: Must be passed to move to the written exam.

    2) Stage-II: Written Examination (MCQ Based)
